"We were able to sleep at 8 pm last night after a long day of celebration and a couple of Mexican beers and tacos were about 5 hours of sleep when a mariachi band playing loud (talk about stereotypes!) Started. There areis a set fair, a few streets away, seem to play at night. But I can not understand why they start playing at 1.30 am. Luckily they thought about 03.00 clock so you can use the rest of the night without sleep too much. Today we visited our last great Mayan ruins (Palenque), about 7 km from the city of Palenque. The local bus took us there for 10 pesos ($ 1 per person) and paid to the place, it is 10 pesos ($ 1) for the entrance of the park and another 48Pesos per person ($ 4.80) ticket to the ruins. In comparison to Tikal prices ($ 20) is cheap! Also here are photos of our best description of the place.
